Be available the day of your move.

Notify post office and all utilities of your
change of address.

Maximize access to all items being moved and
keep hallways and doorways clear.

Make arrangements to reserve a parking space
for the day of your move.

Separate and label all items you plan to move
yourself.

Put keys, checkbooks, passports, cash, and
credit cards in a safe place.

Keep in mind where you would like your items
in you new home.

Please have all pets secluded or away the day
of your move.

You may want to make childcare arrangements
for less stress.

Coordinate disassembly of large items such as
jungle gyms and swing sets.

Drain waterbeds.

Don’t water your plants several days before
move. Place potted plants in boxes.

Empty refrigerators and freezers 24 hours
prior to your move.

Empty file cabinets into small boxes.

Always use proper packing materials.

All boxes should be securely taped on top and
bottom, don’t just fold the flaps closed.

Clearly label all boxes on top and at least
one side.

All items that can be packed, should be
packed.

Make sure to use crumpled unprinted newspaper
to securely pack items in boxes.

All lawn mowers, leaf blowers, weed eaters
and generators must be drained of gas and oil.
